I know it's been a while. The first week of 2015 has not gone well at all. First I was really sick after returning from overseas. Then the caregiving situation took a scary turn. Finally, I lost my dog on Wednesday; she is gone way too soon. I hope to be posting about something happy soon.

So, so sorry!!

ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself. Sending you positive thoughts!
Thank you so much Nakisha.
DeleteOh L, I am so sorry about both your health and your dog! It's been a bad month for pets. My 17-year-old cat went from having borderline kidney disease to full-blown stage 4 kidney disease within a month's time recently. We're giving him sub-cutaneous fluids a few times a week now, but he probably has a few months left at most. It's absolutely heartbreaking to see. Please take whatever time you need to grieve and not worry about blogging, etc.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that. It is very heartbreaking when you've had a pet that long. They are truly members of the family. It's never, ever easy to lose them.
DeleteSo sorry to hear of your bad time - especially the loss of your dog. I pray that 2015 brings you good health and happiness.

DeleteI am so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet or animal companion is very, very hard. Give yourself whatever time you need, and when you feel up to posting again, I will be here to read it.
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you Mary. I've always been a dog person. They're so loyal and their love is unconditional. This is so hard.
DeleteI'm sorry to hear about the loss of your dog - especially difficult within the circumstance and with you not being well. Sending thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteThank you SarahLiz. *huggums*

DeleteSo sorry to hear your news, heres hoping happier times are just around the corner.
ReplyDeleteThank you Louise. I hope we all are able to enjoy those happy times when we have them.
DeleteI do not usually make much sounds on the blogs I follow, but I could not help my wish to say sorry to a fellow dog/pet lover. It is so hard and really it is something we grieve alone because it is hard to explain to others that do not share that deep love. Feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lauraalyse for stopping by. Some people who have never had a pet don't understand the bond that forms. They really are family members. They have personalities and need/give love and support. From one dog lover to another, thank you.
DeleteI;'m sorry for your loss. Don't let anyone belittle the lost of your pet.

Thank you Rose. A friend made a less-than-encouraging comment. I know he meant well, but the comment still hurt. I don't think he understands, but that's okay. I won't let it get to me.
DeleteThank you Valerie. I appreciate it lots.
